Trent Bridge is open again after it was closed overnight due to a police incident.
Notts Police were called to the scene on Monday night at around 8.30pm and sealed the bridge off at both ends.
A man had sat on the edge of the bridge and was threatening to jump.
A Notts Police spokesman said the man agreed to come down at around 11.45pm after talking to specially trained officers.
The man, who was in his twenties, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police lifted the cordon and opened the route again at around 1am Tuesday morning.
